Senior Marketing Scientist (m/w/d)– specialized in Conjoint Analysis
(Consumer Panel Services, Advanced Solutions)

Purpose of the role:

As a Senior Marketing Scientist in our Advanced Solutions Team (AST) in the Consumer Panel (CPS), an exciting and varied field of activities awaits you. You will play a crucial role in shaping our and our clients’ future by providing cutting-edge consultancy and analysis.

Key responsibilities

  • Consulting: Consult our sales and project management colleagues on the best approach for different client questions. If needed, join client calls to show CPS’ proficiency in Conjoint and answer questions. Help our colleagues translate complex conjoint analysis results into actionable recommendations for clients
  • Design and collection: Set up and design complex and highly customized conjoint studies, oversee the implementation into the surveys. Ensure the quality and reliability of collected data
  • Model Development: Develop and refine conjoint models to derive valuable results, from easy utilities to calibrated simulations, price and cross price elasticities and sensitivities as well as optimizations
  • Simulation: Ideally, you can (help) develop a client specific simulation tool for internal and external usage
  • Independency / Expertise: You have already developed your own effective ways of dealing with the typical conjoint obstacles, such as more than 100SKUs, line-pricing or promotions, different price levers per product line, promotions, clients requesting more than 10 price points etc.
  • Leading: Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on conjoint analysis techniques and best practices
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in conjoint analysis methodologies and tools. Implement innovative approaches to enhance research capabilities
  • Panel data: investigate new ways of choice modelling with our rich Consumer Panel data, exploring also options to combine both data sources
  • Further Marketing Sciences approaches: the focus is on choice modelling and in specific in conjoint analysis. However, also MaxDiff, driver analyses, correspondence analysis, PSM or other survey based marketing sciences approaches are in scope of the role


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, Diploma or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, Data Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Choice Modelling and Conjoint Analysis within market research
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, to internal and external clients with different methodological backgrounds
  • Proficiency in Sawtooth and other statistical software such as R or Python
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of overseeing multiple (conjoint analysis) projects concurrently
  • You are committed to ongoing learning and have a deep enthusiasm for staying abreast with new developments in choice modelling
  • You have also expertise in other multivariate approaches, e.g. in other price response modelling approaches (such as Bayesian estimates, Logit models, etc) and classic survey based marketing sciences proficiencies
  • You have experience with connecting data from different data sources
  • You have some basic skills regarding choice modelling with consumer panel data
  • You can think creatively in addressing analytical objectives
  • You enjoy communicating complex methodology and technology to tech and non tech audiences
