Role and Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights:
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify mobile market trends, patterns, and opportunities for Samsung (Sell-In, Sell-Out, Installed base, switching/churn)
- Ensure the quality and integrity of data for analysis and reporting
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders effectively.
- Perform root-cause/scenario analyses and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), develop targets and suggest strategies to improve results
Predictive Modeling & Machine Learning:
- Design and implement predictive models to forecast mobile market demand (TAM, in volume and revenue)
- Assess the significance and impact of individual variables (macroeconomics variables, new model launches, holidays and others) on predictive outcomes, providing actionable insights to business stakeholders
- Leverage machine learning algorithms to build robust models that optimize accuracy and scalability
- Interpret and explain the contribution of key variables to predictions, helping teams understand drivers of growth or decline.
AI-Powered Automation and Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to implement AI-driven solutions to automate manual processes and improve efficiency.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models and AI tools to optimize workflows and enhance scalability.
Business Strategy & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business problems and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to improve operations, customer experience, and revenue growth.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to support business planning.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree; preferably in data science, business analytics, computer science, statistics or a related field.
- Proven experience of 8+ years in strategy, product management, business analytics, business planning, and strategy development is preferred
- Proficiency in Python, R, SAS or similar tools for data analysis and automation
- Strong business ability to interpret technical findings in a business context
- Excellent communication skills to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Advanced in MS excel/PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of macroeconomics, with the ability to analyze and integrate economic indicators (e.g., Fed rate, inflation rate, GDP, unemployment rate) into predictive models
- Demonstrated ability to connect economic trends with business insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Experience in Mobile/Telecom or Tech industry is highly desired
