About the role

The Senior Project Manager, Learning and Development, will lead complex, high-impact L&D projects that support the strategic growth and development of the organization. This role will focus on end-to-end project management of large-scale initiatives, aligning L&D strategies with company goals, and delivering results through effective cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of advanced project management expertise, strategic thinking, and experience organizing learning for large matrixed organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Directors of Team Member and Leadership Development planning and executing multi-faceted L&D projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop project plans with clear timelines, objectives, milestones, and risk management strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the impact of L&D initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic partner to key stakeholders, including executive leadership, HR, department heads, and subject matter experts.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions to gather input, set expectations, and secure commitment to project objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring open communication and project transparency.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with external vendors and consultants, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
  • Prepare executive-level reports on project progress, achievements, and lessons learned.
  • Develop change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new learning initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborate with leaders to ensure L&D projects align with organizational culture and address potential resistance.
  • Design communication and engagement plans and tools that support the successful implementation and sustainment of learning initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Learning or Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of project management experience, ideally within Learning and Development, Organizational Development, or a similar function.
  • Proven experience leading large, high-impact projects with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Advanced understanding of project and content management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, Smartsheet, LMS platforms, SharePoint, etc.
  • Experience creating and maintaining websites for multiple teams 
  • PMP or similar certification is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and engage executive stakeholders.
  • Experience managing projects with a change management focus, including the rollout of new programs, tools, or technologies.
  • Familiarity with current trends and best practices in L&D, digital learning, and employee development.

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent years of experience.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Healthcare Industry experience a plus.
• Experience working in a complex, matrix environment.
