Let’s create transformation for a sustainable future together.<br/>  </p> <p>We are looking for you,</p> <p> </p> <p>Senior Claims Negotiator</p> <p> </p> <p>to join our Global Logistics &amp; Commercial Operations Support department in Espoo. You will be part of the Claims Management team, reporting to the Head of Global Logistics &amp; Commercial Operations Support. The Claims Management team is a small team with two members, and you will be responsible for leading the team's day-to-day operative work.</p> <p><br/> As a Senior Claims Negotiator, you will be the owner of claims management processes and will focus on leading and developing processes in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. You will have global responsibility for cargo, operations, handling, storage, and transportation claims management. The team also provides loss prevention, operational, and claims handling support globally in the most complex claim categories, irrespective of business area or geographical location, and arranges frequent training. Actual claims handling is primarily done by operational teams, and the Senior Claims Negotiator acts as support and handles the most challenging cases. In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders, including insurance companies, law firms, suppliers, customers, surveyors, and internal stakeholders such as shipping and chartering, commercial operations, sales, supply, trading, legal, insurance, finance, support services, and land logistics teams.</p> <p><br/> In the event of an incident such as a collision, contamination, injury, spill, or any other type of high-value claim, you will be contacted. You will ensure smooth cooperation while securing Neste's contractual and legal rights are efficiently exercised and protected through claims handling done in a timely and consistent manner. We also support leisure time activities, e.g. by offering benefits for sports and culture.<br/>  <br/> More about the job</p> <p> </p> <p>Your role in creating a sustainable future</p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain clear claims prevention &amp; handling processes and cooperation models with stakeholders</li> <li>Lead the Claims Management team daily work</li> <li>Lead and support stakeholders in claims related activities</li> <li>Evaluate the legal and contractual validity of claims received from customers, owners, suppliers and other parties</li> <li>Negotiate and settle disputes</li> <li>Collect claims receivables</li> <li>Report and analyse claims related data</li> </ul> <p> <br/> Keys to success in this role</p> <ul> <li>Business, maritime, logistics and/or law degree or similar skills acquired through work</li> <li>Good legal argumentation and communication skills</li> <li>Knowledge about claims</li> <li>International experience in shipping and logistics activities of oil or chemical industry or marine/cargo insurance</li> <li>Previous experience in leading people as a line manager or leading a virtual / project team or proven track record of taking a leading role</li> <li>Ability to take a leadership role in the claims process and claim related investigations</li> <li>Flexibility in working hours within global environment requirements</li> <li>Excellent analytical and social skills with ability to make recommendations and decisions</li> <li>Ability to work independently
