We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Design, develop and deploy software applications and features as part of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team. Write highly scalable and distributed Ruby on Rails services and have a strong grasp of other object-oriented languages. Build, implement and maintain performance sensitive systems that serve tens of millions of requests each day. Collaborate with other engineers, architects, managers, product management, and operations teams to design and develop software processes and solutions that meet business requirements. Propose technical solutions for software features based on an understanding of the product and business domain. Telecommuting permitted – work can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

 Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Additional Job Description:

Base salary: $146,307.00-176,000.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
