As the Director of Data Platform & Technology, your leadership holds a critical role in building and nurturing a team of software engineers and solution architects in our data platform. Your commitment to elevating our company's data capabilities will be critical in steering our business toward growth and success.

In this capacity, you will spearhead innovation, drive platform capabilities, and deliver solutions that impact data throughout our organization. Furthermore, your responsibilities will extend to the establishment and execution of a comprehensive data strategy and architecture that seamlessly aligns with our overarching company strategy.

Responsibilities

Develop, lead, and deliver a data platform architecture that supports the strategy of Data & Analytics
Build, mentor, and manage a team of data professionals, including data engineers, software engineers, and administrators.
Establish and enforce engineering standards and expectations.
Manage and optimize data infrastructure, including data warehouses, databases, and data lakes.
Implement data visualization tools to make data insights accessible and understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure data security and privacy by implementing robust security measures and compliance with data protection regulations.
Drive data-driven innovation by exploring new technologies, tools, and data sources to enhance business processes and outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, finance, and operations, to align data and analytics initiatives with business goals.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data and analytics initiatives to measure their impact on the organization.
Educate, mentor and coach engineers and architects the organization.

Skills / Background

Demonstrated experience in a complex global organization responsible for data engineering, architecture, and delivery.
Create a fast-paced, scalable, and trusted data platform that empowers our business to turn insights into action.
Demonstrated domain expertise in core enterprise data systems and capabilities (ingress, compute, egress, MDM, AI/ML, etc.)
Highly motivated, continuous learner who seeks to understand other points of view.
Ideally, experienced in a fast-paced SaaS business or similarly complex tech landscape.
Exceptional at influencing senior business and technology stakeholders across the organization, effectively leading change, originating ideas, and championing and gaining commitment.

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills, articulate and effective communicator and presenter, able to describe complex problems and solutions in simple and understandable terms.
Possesses mature understanding of foundational architectural concepts (design, business technology strategy, quality management, human dynamics, and IT environment)
Expert level experience with cloud-based technologies, API architectures, and big data solutions
Experienced in agile software development.
Experienced in guiding and leading data and platform teams.
10+ years of progressive tech experience
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.
Up to 25% travel

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

$144,650.00 - $283,850.00
