What We Are Looking For:
Come join the in-house creative agency at Bandwidth as our Senior Manager, Global Content. You will lead a team of customer obsessed content creators focused on building a superior content marketing funnel with personalization for different industry buyers. Your team will create both brand & thought-leadership content as well as deep, technical content with our SMEs across the org. You’ll be the Jay Z to SEO’s Beyonce, the Goldie Hawn to Product Marketing’s Kurt Russell, and the Wesley to a Design’s Buttercup.
We’re looking for a strong leader who gets excited about brand refreshes, scroll-maps, developing writers, and won’t shy away about a good debate on website copy length. You will sit on Bandwidth Marketing and be focused on our multi-channel strategy in addition to owning the Brand’s voice and tone across the global org.
What You'll Do:
- CONTENT STRATEGY | Define Bandwidth’s global content strategy
- Maintain knowledge of Bandwidth’s global markets, buyer personas, solutions and products so that you can direct content effectively.
- Translate business goals into content goals and supporting projects. Develop intelligent content OKRs to measure impact.
- Work collaboratively with product marketing, sales, investor relations, executives, and legal to implement your strategy globally, leading by influence.
- CONTENT QUALITY | Act as a steward of the Bandwidth brand ensuring quality and cohesiveness across all content development
- Have command of all writing functions and formats, including best practices for email, web, digital ads, social media, sales collateral, events, and technical writing. Be able to optimize for UX and SEO.
- Review work and critical decisions from the content team. Advise leaders on content as necessary.
- Uphold a high standard for creative ideas and execution. Regularly generate concepts, participate in brainstorms, and push the marketing team to deliver content that serves our audience first (and Bandwidth second).
- Train all writers (and new Bandwidth employees) on the Bandwidth brand voice.
- Develop standards for common diction and grammar functions at Bandwidth (i.e. “toll-free,” “Tier-1,” etc.)
- CONTENT PROCESS | Oversee global content creation, governance, and operations
- Effectively partner with design, web, demand gen, events, and campaign managers to deliver on content needs across the buyer journey and customer lifecycle.
- Prioritize content needs and requests based on business needs and impact.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements for content processes including work requests, prioritization, editing, SEO optimization, and sales enablement.
- CONTENT LEADERSHIP | Manage & mentor the content marketing team
- Manage a team of copywriters, technical writers, content strategists, and content managers
- Provide direction, candid feedback, and professional development to the global content team.
- Inspire the content team to greater creativity and a high caliber of work. Be the standard-bearer of Bandwidth content
- CONTENT PERFORMANCE | Drive meaningful growth through Bandwidth content
- Track content performance through to opportunity, demonstrating impact.
- Educate marketing and executive teams (CRO, COO) on content impact, influence, expectations, goals.
- Draft OKRs and content KPIs, and report on performance quarterly.
- Close the feedback loop: use data to generate insights and inform planning and strategy development.
