Your Role:
You will be reporting to the Services Organization for this role. This role is designed around the United Kingdom Telecom Security Act (UK TSA) that was released in 2019. In the role, you will be reporting to Service Product Lifecyle Senior Director in support of the Ciena Security offering. Your primary role will be to program manage the extended team required respond to compliance regarding the UK TSA and tracking the associated projects that are in flight to become TSA compliant. The successful candidate will work closely with the Cyber Security Office, Legal, regional leaders, operations, technical support leaders and security product owners to gain knowledge, organize responses and report status on key issues, risk, and decisions. As the security acts around the globe start being released, you will be asked to start integrating the responses in similar fashion again working with the cyber security office in coordination with that effort. Technical Support, Buy Side and Sell Side Stakeholders to drive strategic and operational goals in line with the CLM roadmap and legal department strategy. As a CLM Program Manager at Ciena, you will lead cross functional teams, manage program resources, and ensure the program has a conclusion to our formal responses to our clients. As part of this role, you will work with the subject matter experts in each of the areas to ensure compliance, evidence is available, and a communication plan is structured so that ultimately the account leaders and customer success team can drive their own conversations around our position in TSA compliance. A critical part of this role involves change management, which includes effective communication strategies, knowledge management, and process excellence. This program will ultimately include managing several deliverables from different areas.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and manage a program schedule, its risk, and issues, communicate progress on the UK TSA program and associated later releases.
- Manage change as the new security acts are released and updated
- Include non-compliance areas as their own related dependencies in the overall program (i.e. data management solution that is in IT)
- Work to finalize the commercial solution to house all of our final responses for reporting and support of the region (example log iGATE, Jira or other)
- Organize status meetings and ensure all actions are tracked and status given appropriately
- Work in conjunction with the support teams and the cyber security office on finalizing a position power point to communicate Ciena compliance to UK TSA
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, regular reviews and effective communication
- Support regular reviews of work against SOWs, evaluate vendor performance and help identify any issues to allow corrective action, process improvements.
- Work with IT Solutions Delivery to implement solutions
- Ensure client request are fulfilled by appropriate team members and meetings/presentations are fulfilled and stored for future reference and use
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or business administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in project/program management
- Solid understanding of United Kingdom Telecom Security Act
- Experience in working with multiple points of contact and coordinating large scale programs
- Excellent client facing and internal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage a governing body
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex and competing priorities
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management tools, and change and knowledge management methodologies
- Proactive, entrepreneurial approach to recognizing needs, solving problems, anticipating issues and developing solutions
- Proven track record of making an impact, developing, and executing on objective and delivering superior results in both the short and long
