Job Description

As an Associate Field Service Engineer, you will engage with some of the country’s most influential hospitals and work closely with our world-class sales and service teams. You will use your introductory training and knowledge of our products to support existing and new customers. Support will include assisting with installation, training and technical support of Olympus core products. 

Job Duties

  • 1.    The associate FSE will assist experienced FSE’s with new equipment installations, upgrades, Preventive
    2.     Maintenance, post installation testing and repair of Olympus core products. 
    3.     Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers by responding to inquiries and complying with all regulatory and quality requirements. 
    4.    Assist with training customers on the basic operation and use of assigned core products. 
    5.    Manage administrative operations, including the creation and maintaining of accurate service visit records and checklists to reflect equipment support and repair activities. 
    6.    Provide feedback concerning product questions, workflow issues, performance anomalies encountered in the field, and make recommendations for service improvements.
    7.     Escalate customer issues and unresolved product problems to service management in a comprehensive and timely manner
    8.    Travel to customer facilities and provide onsite support. Adhere to all customer vendor credentialing requirements.
    9.    Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualfication

Required:

  • Associate degree in electronics, computer science, biomedical engineering or related technical discipline is required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent military technical training preferred.
  • Minimum zero to one year as a Field Service Engineer, or equivalent experience.
  • Must hold a valid U.S. Driver’s License at all times. License must not be revoked or suspended in any state, province or other jurisdiction. 
  • Must meet the eligibility requirements to operate a company vehicle as outlined in the OCA Fleet Program. 
  • All individuals in this role must comply with all vendor credentialing requirements inclusive of, but not limited to, medical vaccinations, training requirements and policies. 
  • Individuals must also complete annual bloodborne pathogen training, operating room protocol training and obtain Hepatitis B vaccination. 
  • Ability to travel overnight (>60%)
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required, including weekends and nights

  • Provides excellent customer service to meet internal and external customer needs. 
  • Must be a self-starter and have ability to work within a team environment and under supervisory oversight.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability towards solving problems, and effectively communicate these solutions to co-workers and customers.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $22.00 - $28.60
