Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent in this position is authorized to interpret the Florida Statutes and department policies and procedures regarding revocations, suspensions, cancellations and disqualifications and Financial Responsibility. The incumbent is responsible for deleting, adding and modifying suspensions, revocations and cancellations through the personal computer; contacting government agencies throughout the U.S. to obtain information and documents relating to assigned responsibilities. Assist supervisor, consumer complaint analysts and field offices, and complete special projects as assigned.Responsible for handling complex telephone inquiries, emails, and letters concerning driver license reinstatement requirements, reinstating or denying the reinstatement of an individual's driving privilege based on enforcement of Drivers' Licenses Laws and Insurance related laws, Financial Responsibility and No-Fault Insurance.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of department rules, regulations and policies.
• Knowledge of techniques for effective oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of correct spelling, punctuation and grammar usage.
• Knowledge of Florida Statutes governing driver license issues pursuant to Chapters 322, 324, and 627 of the Florida Statutes.
• Ability to analyze and recommend changes to Florida Statutes.
