Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced supply chain professional to join Western Digital’s Global Operations organization. The candidate will work on the flash memory side of the business encompassing supply planning, technology transition planning and inventory management.  

The candidate will be to help the supply chain planning team by recommending & maintaining a technology transition plan for every NAND-flash based product in WD’s portfolio. The candidate will also support inventory management by determining replenishment strategy for all SKUs by working cross functionally with other planning teams, the business units and sales operations. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Own the publish and maintenance of Technology Transition Plan for Memory, Controller and DRAM 
  • Support the Non-prime Core Team with long-term memory consumption analysis and provide insights to guide non-prime product quals 
  • Support L3 supply/demand analysis from a non-prime consumption perspective 
  • Determine optimal inventory strategy and product inventory buffers to meet required customer service levels 
  • Measure and drive on-time delivery of orders to customer request ship date and to WD promised ship date 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a supply chain planning function with exposure to supply / demand / inventory planning

Skills: 

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have ability to lead work, not just follow direction, and work well in a dynamic team environment
  • Experience with project management, change management, and innovative business problem solving 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, as well as working experience in Power BI, Python, Tableau, and SQL
