Job Details:

Job Summary:  The Director, External Reporting is responsible for delivering reporting and analysis to Cubic’s external stakeholders including sponsors, lenders and investors.  This includes P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow reporting in addition to analysis, presentations, scripts, Q&A and preparation for external calls held by the CEO and CFO and partnering with our investors.  Further the role is expected to create repeatable processes to report and deliver this information efficiently.  As time permits, the role will also support improving the financial and business acumen of the team including analysis of profitability and business cases (e.g. Gross Profit Walks) and support cost out initiatives for the Corporate team.  This position typically works under general supervision and direction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with our owners for analysis and reporting.
  • Delivering external financial statement reporting
  • Supporting the development of presentation, script and Q&A
  • Coach team on financial analysis best practices
  • Create process to identify, influence and track cost actions

Minimum Job Requirements:

Four-year college degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, plus a minimum of fifteen years’ experience in financial analysis and planning experience.  SAP experience is preferred. Sound understanding of commercial and business systems Demonstrated ability to: adapt quickly to change; interface both verbally and in written form, with all levels of management; critical thinking; handle complex data and present effectively to management; solve problems that span business operations and technology; work closely in a team environment; build effective relationships with business leadership at all levels; leverage existing environment while driving towards best practices throughout areas of responsibility. Strong proficiency in MS Office software including advanced Excel modelling skills. Some international and domestic travel is expected for this position (estimated at 4-6 weeks per year).

Cubic Pay Range:

$81.40 - $125.32 + benefits.
