Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Facilities Project Manager, Space and Facilities Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0151272]

ROLE of the POSITION

Under the direction of the Facilities Operations Manager, the Facilities Project Manager is a critical position to ensure the success of the Space and Facilities Department, a shared services unit which supports both the UNLV Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine and UNLV Health. This position manage specialized and diverse projects and support the operations, programs, building maintenance, and infrastructure related to the physical environment for the space portfolio, including buildings in the Medical District, satellite locations, and the Shadow Lane and Maryland Parkway campuses.

This position manages projects for both the UNLV Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine and UNLV Health and oversees outside contracts related to academic, administrative, clinical and research facilities and the management of those spaces. Additionally, it requires advanced level skills in facilities management, project management conducting feasibility studies, sustainability assessments, knowledge in construction and design, emergency preparedness, facility operations, and environmental health and safety.

The Space and Facilities Department is responsible for the leases, support and maintenance of over 300,000 sq. ft. across 13 buildings. With a portfolio that is continuously expanding and includes moves, renovations, and new builds, the Facilities Project Manager will serve a pivotal role in ensuring projects are completed on-time and on budget.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a High School Diploma and 5-7 years or more of demonstrated experiences in customer service, facilities operations and project management.
