What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Engines F135 Fleet Operations is seeking a Senior Engine Technician (S4) to serve supporting both the F-35 Final Assembly & Checkout (FACO) and Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Upgrade (MROU) operations Fort Worth, Texas.

  • You will perform the work necessary to ensure engine production requirements and ensure quality standards are met for the overhaul and repair of F-135 engines or modules and associated technologies.
  • Position is for 1st Shift. Individual must be flexible to work alternate shifts when required, overtime, or weekends and be able to travel to customer/partner locations.
  • 40-50% Travel, Strong communication skills and self-motivation is a must in this environment.
  • This role will include working on engines installed in the F-35 Aircraft as well as uninstalled engines in a shop environment.
  • You will investigate problems and make repairs and modifications as necessary to engines, modules, and components per applicable directives.
  • Complete work priorities and assigned day-to-day tasks necessary to build, repair and inspect Pratt and Whitney F135 gas turbine engines.
  • Understand maintenance information from team leaders through coordination with Technical Leads, Immediate Supervisor and Site Manager.
  • Interface and engage with various other functions (Quality, Local FSE's, BEM's, Customers; DCMA, JPO, LM etc.) to resolve issues and ensure timely product delivery.
  • As required, work with Field Service Engineering to improve methods and processes to build engines and Repair hardware.
  • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and others in a

    assorted work environment.

  • This position requires an individual that is detail oriented and able to self-govern.
  • Accuracy in work performed is a requirement and the understanding of gas turbine engines is a must.
  • Perform additional tasks in support of business objectives and/or to develop the individual skills.
  • You will be required to work with maintenance platforms, ascend/descend maintenance stands, lift 25 pounds to a height of 4 feet, and position self to perform maintenance/inspections underneath engine rails and inside the exhaust duct.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Must currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, a valid U.S. Passport for international travel.
  • Must be proficient with computers and software programs (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance or current Secret Clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Military Aerospace Maintenance experience (F135/F119/F100).
  • 4+ years in Aerospace Maintenance field.
  • Borescope/Boroblend experience, familiarity with Engine shop maintenance operations, knowledge of non-powered Aerospace Ground Equipment and a confirmed ability to use and interpret electronic technical manuals.
  • 1+ years of experience in the tear-down, build-up and inspection of jet engines
  • Depot-Level (D-Level) or Intermediate level (I-level) maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Airframe and Power plant license or equivalent experience is a plus.
