About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build, and manage our cloud infrastructure and data pipelines. This role will be instrumental in automating code releases, deploying machine learning models, and ensuring the high availability and performance of our cloud-based systems. You will leverage your expertise in GCP, Containerization (ie. Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code to create scalable and efficient solutions.

What you'll do

CI/CD & Release Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and GitLab CI/CD.
• Automate code deployments and release processes to ensure fast, reliable delivery.

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Management

• Deploy and manage infrastructure on GCP using Terraform and other IaC tools.
• Ensure scalability, security, and high availability across services like Cloud Run, BigQuery, and MongoDB.

Data & Database Operations

• Manage production-grade databases, including backup and recovery, sharding, and performance tuning.
• Maintain and evolve data pipelines to support machine learning model deployment and integration.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Implement and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and other container tools.
• Ensure efficient orchestration and scaling of microservices in production environments.

Monitoring & Reliability

• Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools like DataDog.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability.

GCP Expertise

• Leverage of GCP services to architect and support cloud-native solutions.
• Stay current on GCP updates and best practices to continuously improve platform capabilities.

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with engineering, data science, and product teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
• Translate technical requirements into actionable DevOps strategies and solutions
