Sportsbook & Jasmine's Prep Person (Horseshoe Bossier) Part Time

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists in the preparation of cold food items, such as salads, garnishes, and condiments and provides safe and sanitary conditions for storing items.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Six (6) months experience in kitchen or similar position preferred.
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift. 
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. 
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Local health department sanitation certificate.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Knowledge of proper sanitary, storing, and handling of product.
• Adheres to kitchen maintenance and sanitation programs. 
• Ability to follow instructions and/or recipes for proper preparation.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Maintains assigned station and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Knowledge of preparation of food and maintain standards of company.
• Ability to work all other duties as assigned.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

DEMANDS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PHYSICAL & MENTAL:

• Must be able to work in kitchen during most of shift.
• Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the kitchen. 
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. 
• Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 300 pounds. 
• Must possess coordination and dexterity to use kitchen utensils, such as, knives, spatulas, food tongs, etc. 
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, kneel, push, and pull when rotating stock and cleaning work area. 
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work at fast pace and stressful situations.
• Must be able to tolerate areas with extreme cold temperatures.
