This is a Senior Engineer position, to support Project and Portfolio management of several Tech Transfer programs

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and products. They apply their engineering expertise to solve complex problems, lead technical projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency within the company also managing their programs to ensure activities completion within the expected timelines:

  • Support Amgen’s manufacturing network by applying broad knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging operations, equipment, devices, and materials to develop the industry’s best combination product assembly and packaging processes.
  • Plan and provide support on execution for complex projects involving tech transfer activities and project management.
  • Oversee projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion, report project status and updates, and ensure project dashboards reflect the current situation.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver results and attain project goals/targets.
  • Develop, evaluate, and manage project dashboards and reports.
  • Develop and use project plans to measure and report progress.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders and sponsors regarding project progress, issues, and plans for resolution.
  • Prioritize workload in accordance with business goals.
  • Develop and share lessons learned and best practices 

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Engineering and/or Operations experience; OR
  • Associate’s degree and 8 years of Engineering and/or Operations experience; Or
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Engineering and/or Operations experience; Or
  • Master’s degree and 2 years of Engineering and/or Operations experience; Or
  • Doctorate degree or MBA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in science, engineering, or business (MBA).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Advanced project management skills and discipline.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead or support high-performing teams.
  • Ability to work in teams and in a cross-function organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Proficiency in smartsheet and/or tableau

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
