A Day in the Life
The Senior Finance Director will operate as the CFO for the recently acquired NeuroVascular Scientia Business, sits on the NeuroVascular Scientia Global Leadership Team, and acts as a key strategic advisor to the NeuroVascular Scientia business leader. This position will be the key financial integration leader for all key financial activities including order to cash, procure to pay, expense reimbursement, financial reporting, budget and forecast processes.
The ideal candidate will possess broad‑minded business acumen to provide strategic leadership that impacts the business beyond the finance function. This role requires the ability to lead and represent the business as needed and to engage other leaders in achieving strategic and financial goals. The position focuses on business and financial strategy, as well as the management of all activities that ensure effective financial control of the business. The Senior Director of Finance for NeuroVascular Scientia will lead the annual strategic and operating planning processes and direct the development and control of financial plans and forecasts for the business unit, while also serving as the functional leader to drive excellence in Finance.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Serves as the key business partner to the NeuroVascular Scientia Business Leader and functional leaders regarding Global Strategy, R&D programs, operations, opportunities and decision making
Serves as the NeuroVascular Scientia finance integration leader for all key financial activities including order to cash, procure to pay, expense reimbursement, financial reporting, budget and forecast processes while partnering heavily with Medtronic Controllership
Provide integration project management to the Financial integration workstreams - Controllership, Tax, Operations, IT, and Business Unit Finance
Identify key differences in process, systems or structures and flag to stakeholders to drive consistency and harmonize
Participates in integration review meetings and actively manages and tracks financial performance relative to the deal model
Participates on the NeuroVascular Scientia Business Unit Leadership Team in establishing the business strategy and translating it into the annual operating plan and the strategic plan
Leads the NeuroVascular Scientia Finance Team and collaborates with the rest of Global NeuroVascular Business Unit and Finance teams
Communicates operating priorities, outlooks and results with key Medtronic leadership stakeholders
Aligns financial policies and procedures with company objectives
Accountable for final operational decisions affecting business activities
Business Partnership role in making investment prioritization trade-off decisions with headcount, R&D programs, Sales models and acquisition opportunities
Drives talent management within the finance team and ensures a pipeline of talent for future leadership roles
Manages the activities of the financial analysis staff, developing insightful business analytics that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and effective working capital, FCF, and ROIC management
Leadership in driving business unit and department adherence to approved budgets
Balances financial perspective with other business function perspectives
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 13+ years) plus 10+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have
Experience leading or supporting complex business integrations, transformations, M&A, or large cross‑functional initiatives across finance workstreams (e.g., controllership, tax, operations, IT, and business unit finance)
Strong financial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, performance management, and business analytics to drive growth, operational efficiency, working capital, FCF, and ROIC
