Senior Strategic Category Analyst

As a Senior Strategic Category Analyst at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for driving the analytics, data and information gathering necessary to achieve strategic objectives. You will work with your team members and customers across Micron’s global sites, working together to lead profitability objectives and achieve future cost-down aspirations. You will partner with various customers and partners. You will guide the team in monitoring key internal metrics, and evaluate category market conditions/trends, supply/demand challenges and other pertinent category dynamics. You will lead cross-functional initiatives across category teams and customers with the category analysts. You will be responsible for developing and implementing actionable insights that enable the category team to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Analytics, insights, and benchmarking

• In-depth proficiency in Cost Savings, Spend Analytics, and overall Category Scorecards to leaders.

• Provide oversite to team members to ensure data integrity and accessibility and partner with IT, BI, Fin, Eng, Mfg.

• Lead external market intelligence analysis, problem-solving, benchmarking and solution development.

• Evaluate data and information to find opportunities and cost savings and deliver recommendations to support the strategic direction.

• Collect and use financial data for suppliers and provide mentorship for interpretation.

Business Partnering

• Cultivate positive relationships and communicate effectively with customers to achieve business objectives.

• Effectively engage with procurement leadership and cross-functional business clients, working together to craft and implement plans into tangible results.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of professional work experience in analytics or a related field

• Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Business, Engineering, or Science from an accredited college/university.

• Proficient in Office 365, SharePoint, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.

• Expert in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Proven experience working effectively in a matrixed, global organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in financial and/or other analytics software, SQL, and VBA.

• Procurement, Category Management, Supply Chain, Finance background.
