What are you going to do?

You will have the opportunity to work in a forward-thinking and growth-oriented environment, at one of the fastest-growing digital design. It's an international team spanning across 3 continents responsible for building software used by hundreds of millions of users. Working within a Squad structure, you will collaborate with product, design and engineering teammates to build, and maintain our next generation of iOS applications while identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating applications published on the App Store.
Located in San Francisco, the Browse Core squad you will be working with is responsible for enhancing our core user experience in conjunction with other Rakuten Teams across the Americas.

Occupy a unique position in the market, to work on an app/service related to home inspections and also collaborate across different projects. 

• Design and implement our flagship Android app which is used by hundreds of thousands of users every day.
• Collaborating with the design team to define app features.
• Ensuring applications meet and surpass all quality and performance specifications.
• Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks.
• Publishing applications in App Store.
• Maintaining technical debt and refactoring of the application.
• Designing and implementing application updates.
• Work with server engineers to develop robust end to end features.
  

What will help you succeed

• 3+ years building native applications for Android devices
• Proficient with Java and knowledge of Android design patterns
• Familiarity with push notifications, APIs and cloud messaging
• Experience with continuous integration.
