Summary of Job Duties:
The University of Arkansas Youth Programs Coordinator is a member of the School of Law, Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative (IFAI) team. The position is responsible for the development, execution, and management of youth programs and activities targeting Indigenous youth ages 18 to 24 including the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative Native Youth Summit held annually each summer. The Youth Programs Coordinator will oversee programs for youth emphasizing development in agriculture, policy work, business development, economic enterprise, and Indigenous food systems in compliance with the rules regulations policies and procedures of the University. The Youth Programs Coordinator will collaboratively evaluate program effectiveness recommend changes and implement management decisions. The position will require the maintenance of relevant curriculum in line with community standards and overseas short and long term planning including but not limited to the Native Youth Summit coordination with partner organizations recruiting selection and acting as a liaison between youth, IFAI and external stakeholders.
