Year 1 Teacher – NG5

£150–£190 per day | Full-time | September start

Class Mate is looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in NG5. You’ll support pupils through an important stage of their education, building on their EYFS foundations while developing confidence in reading, writing and mathematics.

The Role

* Plan and deliver engaging Year 1 lessons

* Teach across the Year 1 National Curriculum

* Deliver and support effective phonics and early reading

* Assess and monitor pupil progress

* Adapt teaching for SEND and different abilities

* Establish positive behaviour and classroom routines

We're Looking For

* QTS or a recognised UK teaching qualification

* Year 1 or KS1 teaching experience

* Strong knowledge of phonics and early reading

* Effective classroom and behaviour management

* Ability to support pupils with different needs

* Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
