Become a member of our highly skilled radiology department and continue to learn and develop orthopaedic skills. At Beacon, you will be a vital member of our care team by assisting and positioning patients to get the best radiology outcome. You will work closely with the physician and staff creating professional relationships while assisting patients of all ages and skill level.
Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting physician in patient care, performing all necessary x-rays, with a high degree of quality, escort patients to rooms, medical assistance as needed, order medical and x-ray supplies, maintain x-ray records.
Position Responsibilities/Standards:
- Attend department, clinic or company meetings as required
- Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns
- Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members.
- Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
- Attend required annual in-service program and/or required CEU’s
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures.
- Consistently demonstrate attention to detail in documentation, recording and patient information.
- Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor
- Escort patients to x-ray suite
- Prepare patients for x-ray
- Perform x-rays as required by physicians
- Perform C-ARM procedure
- Document procedure performed in log book
- Escort patients back to exam rooms
- Communication with physicians, patients and staff
- Medical assistance as needed
- Be available to physicians during office hours
- Ensure equipment is maintained properly
- Order x-ray supplies as needed
- Pulling, filing and mail back of x-rays.
- Answer patient questions
- OSHA
- Must be ARRT and Ohio, Kentucky and/or Indiana (whichever state you will practice) Radiography license.
