Brown & Brown is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Leader to join our growing team in Tacoma, WA.

The WC Claims Leader will manage all claims for consulting clients with the goal of containing claim costs and supporting the implementation of recommended strategies. In addition to performing the duties of the Workers' Compensation Claim Manager, the Workers' Compensation Claims Leader will be responsible for designing, managing, and updating internal procedures for claims management.

How You Will Contribute

  • Develop, manage, and maintain internal systems and procedures for the practice's claims management activities.                               

  • Train and develop teammates on the agency's L&I consulting practice team.      

  • Visit L&I clients at the Lead's discretion in order to assist with implementing recommendations and achieving positive claims outcomes.                                

  • Attend industry events to stay current on trends, represent the agency in the marketplace, and maintain relationships with business partners/vendors.                      

  • Organize and host events for L&I consulting clients and prospects.                  

  • Maintain and develop relationships within the Department of L&I to help the practice better achieve positive outcomes for our clients.                

  • Coordinate with Brown & Brown team to provide financial analytics and execute on overall service plan for clients.                                              

  • Perform all of the essential duties and responsibilities listed in the Workers' Compensation Claims Manager job description.                                                                                                   

Skills & Experience to Be Successful

  • College degree preferred but not required with appropriate work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with Washington workers' compensation claims management is required.

  • Management experience is preferred but not required.

  • Experience with commercial insurance industry basics preferred but not required.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Tools, Outlook, Word, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Pay Range

$110,000 - $130,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
