NexGen Data Systems is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer/Administrator to join our team. The systems engineer will play an integral role on the SPAWAR NSOC Network Automation Team as a Windows System Administrator. This position will focus on systems and application stability, security, performance, and capacity management, as well as documentation. This individual will interact frequently with internal customers.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the sustainment of systems with enterprise-class medical environment
- Provide support for emergent Windows server issues, be adaptable, and well versed in all areas of Windows Systems administration.
- System administration experience on Windows Server 2019, Windows 11 Desktop, ESXi, and with VMware/vSphere required.
- Performing system installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security procedures.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliable with exceptional work ethic
- Detail oriented with self-motivated attitude
- Collaborative, team focus to support cohesive work team
- Ability to handle competing priorities with high expectations in a team-oriented environment
Desired/Required Skills:
- 5+ years experience heavily versed in Windows servers.
- 2+ years experience administering and managing virtual machines with VMWare/vSphere.\
- Proven technical expert in relevant state of the art technologies and systems.
- Windows Server administration experience is required.
- Experience with the following is a plus: ESXi, entry-level Python programming, Microsoft SQL Server Administration, HP blade server and Onboard Administrator, Cisco UCS servers, NetApp storage and fiber channel switching, Linux administration, Medical and HIPPA compliance programs, DISA security technical implementation guide compliance.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- DoD 8570 Compliance required.
