We have an immediate career growth opportunity with our Information Workplace Services team for a talented mid-level Windows Systems Administrator.  This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform, multi–disciplined, classified systems environment resolving support issues for the engineering community using helpdesk and task assignment methods.

** This individual must sit onsite in St. Petersburg, FL. **

What YOU will do:

  • You will work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.

  • You will administer and maintain systems support for software, hardware, and servers; identify, analyze, test, diagnose, and remediate technical challenges as you use systems administration and troubleshooting techniques to resolve a wide range technical problem.

  • You will troubleshoot to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).

  • You will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows infrastructure (for both classified and unclassified programs). 

  • You will install and configure software applications requested by end users.

  • You work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience Active and current Secret Clearance.

  • Current DOD Secret Security Clearance is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.

  • Must have an active Secret US Secret security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.

  • Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies:  Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.

Skills We Value:

  • Scripting - PowerShell, Bash

  • Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

  • Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.

  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.

  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange.

  • Linux experience
