Welding Lab Assistant- Provides technical assistance to students either in a classroom or laboratory setting and assists with teaching students according to established policies and procedures under the supervision of the welding instructor.
The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities :
- 60% Provides group instruction and one-on-one tutoring; communicates and explains familiar and new concepts to students with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of welding skills.
- 35% Assists students in the use of equipment.
- 5% Keeps the lab clean and organized.
- Demonstrates the Viking Values of balance, clarity, gratitude, service, teamwork, and trust.
- Maintains an effective working relationship with students; serves as a positive role model.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Promotes the educational values of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the computer lab.
- Maintains the confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Complies with all laws and regulations related to higher education.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year work experience as a welder or welding degree/certificate required.
- Previous experience as a teacher or lab assistant is preferred.
