POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. This individual is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work on a variety of metal components used in HVAC, piping, and structural systems. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards in both shop and field environments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on various metals and materials.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding symbols.
Measure, cut, and prepare materials for welding and assembly.
Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with specifications.
Set up and maintain welding equipment, tools, and consumables.
Work collaboratively with fabrication and installation teams to meet project goals.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and equipment checks.
Identify and report defective materials or unsafe conditions.
Assist in training and mentoring welding apprentices or helpers as needed.

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position is reported directly to the Project Manager.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
3–5 years of welding experience in commercial or industrial environments.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing precision welds.
Ability to use cutting, grinding, and measuring tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Certified welder (AWS or equivalent) preferred.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
BEHAVIORAL PROFILE

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal numbers. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
