The Solution Technical Consultant’s role is to work on a Java based WCS (Warehouse Controls Software) system. The engineer will be traveling as part of a team to Koerber Automation sites and working on live systems, in various types of work environments. The role includes customer facing troubleshooting, live code changes, and database changes. Be on the cutting edge while testing and commissioning equipment for use in Fortune 1000 companies.

 

Your role in our team

• You will troubleshoot live system issues, in a timely manner.
• You will analyze software logging and making system changes in the DB, UI, or Code.
• You will analyze existing code and system configurations to determine potential issues.
• You will configure the software and database to each specific automation system.
• You will code change requests and live enhancements during on-site commissioning periods.
• You will train and assistance for customers and operators during a commissioning period.
• You will work in active warehouse environments during commissioning, where forklift traffic may be present
• You will be expected to lift containers onto conveyor systems as part of system testing and commissioning.
• You will walk the automation system on-site to identify and address issues as they arise.
• You will occasionally perform manual tasks—such as cutting pallet strapping or wrapping—to support system testing.

 

Your profile

• You have a College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• You have the ability to function well in a high-paced environment and deliver results to meet timelines
• You have proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including Java and SQL.
• You have hands on familiarity of DBeaver or similar SQL development studios and writing SQL stored procedures/views.
• You are highly self-motivated and directed
• You have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• You have the ability to work with and follow all OSHA regulations and customer work environment rules.
• You have an understanding of coding methods and best practices
• You have an understanding of platforms such as Java WebServices, Microsoft Windows and Apache
• You are able to perform other duties as assigned.
• You are able to travel as needed (75%).

• Your annual base pay range for this role is estimated to be $ 75,000.00 - $85,000.00 at the time of posting.
