Provide supervision and direction to Maintenance Department in support of manufacturing and distribution. Plan, organize, and schedule the mechanical and/or electrical/electronic maintenance of manufacturing and distribution machines and equipment to maximize labor and material utilization and minimize downtime.
Job Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all activities of the Shipping and Receiving Department to assure accurate records of inventory as well as timely shipping of finished product to ensure customer satisfaction. The role will be responsible for the safety and performance of the warehouse team.
Essential Job Duties & Functions:
- Safety focused mentality with the ability to promote and achieve a safe culture.
- Maintain accuracy and control of finished goods inventory and direct cycle count activities, including reconciliation.
- Arrange and schedule overtime among warehouse associates.
- Prioritize shipping schedule and communicate directly with the sales, supply chain and manufacturing, any change in schedule or any manufacturing problem that will affect delivery.
- Order supplies.
- Process all paperwork associated with all described duties.
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety training and communications as required.
- Provide an environment for Lean Six Sigma culture, techniques and principles to flourish within the warehouse
- Demonstrated good attention to details, but be able to manage the big picture
- Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure
- Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement
- Solid planning, leadership, and administrative skills
- High energy and demonstrates urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
2 – 3 years relevant experience, including supervisory responsibilities
Working knowledge of Shipping Department practices
Good communicate both orally and in writing.
Experience and proficiency in mathematics
Good communicate both orally and in writing.
Exhibit strong judgment and decision-making skills.
Computer literate in MS Office Suite and appropriate maintenance related software
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
