Description

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including daily oversight and task delegation.
  • Oversee the daily operations and workflow of the warehouse, including scheduling and resource planning.
  • Mentor, train, and coach direct reports to enhance skillsets, engagement, and overall job satisfaction.
  • Partner with HR in the hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, discipline, and termination of warehouse personnel, in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  • Enforce adherence to 5S safety policies and procedures, as well as ISO 9001 standard operating procedures relevant to warehouse operations.
  • Promote cross-departmental collaboration to ensure efficient and cohesive operations.

 

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

  • Ensure efficient warehouse operations through effective coordination and communication with logistics, production, and other departments.
  • Keep warehouse staff informed of company policies, regulations, procedures, and departmental objectives.
  • Manage material flow to support production needs, including oversight of receiving, inventory, project material, and shipping functions.
  • Conduct regular physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies with system records, and maintain accurate inventory documentation.
  • Ensure all stock is stored in proper locations within the warehouse for optimal accessibility and safety.
  • Coordinate transfers of materials between departments and external locations.
  • Lead the team in performing daily safety inspections of equipment, including forklifts.
  • Verify accuracy and quality of outgoing deliveries, ensuring packing slips match orders, BOL properly signed and maintain accurate transportation documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Resolve conflicts within the team professionally and in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans to improve warehouse performance.
  • Coordinate with sales and production regarding truck arrivals and outbound logistics.
  • Establish and maintain logistics contracts with third-party providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable supply chain operations.
  • Conduct annual reviews of logistics suppliers to evaluate performance and ensure continued competitiveness, service quality, and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Develop and implement work instructions for shipping, packaging, inventory pulling, and material receiving, in alignment with ISO standards to ensure consistency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed to support operations.
  • Support and assist all supporting departments as needed to ensure smooth, cross-functional operations and assist in achieving overall organizational goals
  • Promote and reinforce 5S practices throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate work records and documentation of warehouse activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
