Warehouse Supervisor

Starting Hourly Wage: $54K to $80K plus VIP annual bonus

ABOUT THE ROLE

To lead department personnel in support of plant warehouse and shipping operations.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Drives all aspects of the warehouse and shipping team to meet demand identified in the shipping schedule.
• Leads and trains shipping personnel in the safe and efficient shipping/warehouse processes.
• Establishes priorities and directs shift labor accordingly.
• Reviews warehouse and shipping related paperwork.
• Completes and validates warehouse and shipping data inputs to SAP and other systems.
• Ensures the warehouse and shipping environment is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
• Coordinates with plant staff on scheduled changes, inventory activities and other activities as required.
• Reviews and updates working standards, conspicuous standards and other guiding documents as necessary.
• Focuses on KPI performance, coordinates maintenance activities with maintenance department.
• Maintain the 5S posture of the plant warehouse and shipping areas and individually assigned 5s area.
• Coordinates with transportation providers and other outside vendors as necessary.
• Ensure plant is in compliance with D.O.T. instructions.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• High School Diploma with 3+ years experience supervising others.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Willing to cross-train and rotate to other positions as needed
• Must have good attention to detail
• Must have a good attendance record
• Must have a strong safety record
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Customer service experience
• Experience with book transportation (OTR, LTL and CPU)
