Position Summary 

The Logistics Supervisor role is responsible for managing and optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of all corporate materials, aviation parts, ground support equipment, tools, and commercial products. This role is responsible for overseeing and developing a team of professionals tasked with enhancing shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes. Additionally, this role provides strategic leadership and guidance to logistics team members, ensuring efficient operating and adherence to best practices.   

Essential Functions and Competency Statements 

• Develop and lead a team of professionals focused on building a warehousing capability to support the delivery of best in class shipping, receiving, and stores management.
• Improve and implement warehousing, shipping, and receiving strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
• Support the management and disposition of Government Furnished Equipment based on company policies and procedures.
• In conjunction with Global Trade Compliance, support the Import and Export process to ensure compliance with regulations and facilitate prompt delivery via DoD and commercial freight or express methods.
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to manage the flow of goods from origin to destination.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements and company policies to maintain legal and operational standards.
• Track inventory movements, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate records to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain comprehensive records of shipments, customs documentation, and other relevant paperwork per company policies.
• Address and resolve any issues related to shipping, receiving, or inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively. 
• Organize and manage warehouse space to ensure efficient storage and security of materials. 
• Conduct inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of shipments. 
• Prepare and present reports on logistics performance to leadership as required. 
• Oversee transportation logistics, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight management to ensure rapid and cost-effective deliveries. 
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to keep them informed about shipment status and any potential scheduling delays.
• Lead and mentor a team of Logistics Specialists, fostering a collaborative and performance driven culture focused on Metreas core values.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently

• Ensures high quality and precision in task execution while working independently.

Skills and Experience

Education: 

• Associate degree - Bachelor's degree preferred 
  1. 7 years’ work experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

 Experience:

• 5+ years of Aviation procurement and supply chain management.
• Experience in government contract procurement. 
• Experience in CPSR Government procurement requirements. 
• Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance. 
• Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
