About the role
The Ops Business Process Specialist - Works within the corporate fulfillment/Logistics Operations organization to research, analyze, understand KPI’s and document processes improvements to the company’s business and operational processes to improve overall organization performance.
In addition, they will participate in supporting and optimizing warehouse management system (WMS) implementations, go-lives, and changes. The candidate will work with business users to identify process pain points and work collaboratively to identify, document and implement process improvements to achieve operational efficiencies, cost reduction and enhancing overall client experience. They function as a process escalation and reference point for fulfillment Operations and system users. You will get to:
- Support WMS implementations, working closely with the cross-functional implementation team consisting of IT, Engineering, PM, training resources. Key functions include:
- Collaborate with business users to identify key business processes and standard operating procedures pain points.
- Evaluate and provide analysis of current business processes and workflows, to identify the key pain points, inefficiencies, inaccuracies, and other issues to recommend process improvements.
- Document training, and standard operating procedures
- Build process flow documents in alignment with established and approved future processes.
- Create detailed IT test scripts in alignment with established solution design.
- Ensure that all critical WMS functions are tested pre/post change or deployment
- Participate training/certification efforts in collaboration with internal and external teams

What we’re looking for
- 1-3 years’ experience working with an ERP/WMS and related fulfillment tools/systems.
- BS/BA or equivalent experience desired
- Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or similar process improvement frameworks is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in Logistics, Fulfillment, and or Integration an asset
- Has participated in group work sessions making decisions regarding workflow, business analysis, implementation planning, and system testing
- Highly articulate in both oral and written communication, presentation, persuasion, and negotiation to achieve desired result.
- Can communicate effectively and credibly with lower levels in the organization, with the specific ability to gain trust, draw out needs, creatively propose ideas, and immediately and expertly resolve conflicts and concerns.
- Ability to communicate in and understand English to the extent necessary to fulfill/perform the essential job functions.
