Your Role:

MilliporeSigma has an opening for a Warehouse Operator 2 – 1st Shift at the Cherokee site. In this role, you will beworking as a team as well as independently to reach goals set for the day. Specific responsibilities include:

 

• Material handling functions include dock operations, movement, storage, tracking, and pulling andlocating chemicals and packaging components.
• Receiving function processes, incoming material and loading data into SAP.
• Component order processing, tracking, activity reporting, inventory deducts, and deviation investigatio
• Use of powered material handling equipmen
• Safe handling of chemicals, supplies, and equipment while ensuring compliance with all regulations
• Operate forklifts or other equipment such as a reach forklift, electric pallet jacks, etc.

 

Shift: 1st shift Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm

 

Physical Attributes:

 

• Wear PPE such as hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted & move more than 50 pounds with assistance

• Operate forklifts or other equipment such as reach forklift, box truck, or electric pallet jacks

 

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

 

• High school diploma or GED

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

• 1+ year of warehouse experience

• Experience with SAP software
• Strong written and oral communication skills and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Knowledge of chemical handling procedures
• Experience with forklifts or power industrial equipment
• Experience with hazardous chemicals
