About the role

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Manage warehousing, material handling, shipping, and receiving operations for both Theodore "Teddy 1 and 2" sites.
  • Improve overall storage and material flow strategy and implementation to meet or exceed factory KPI’s for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost at both sites.
  • Supervise the material teams and provide daily direction to leads. Improve overall efficiency of the materials team
  • Cycle counting, inventory accuracy reporting, kit pulling staging and delivery to production
  • Implement and support daily management process to drive accountability within the department
  • Ensure housekeeping and workplace organization (5S) within factory POU, warehouse, and yard locations
  • Responsible for storage yard management to ensure both sites maintain orderly grounds and materials and finished goods are stored appropriately.
  • Responsible for pick and kit activities including staging, delivery and accuracy
  • Monitor plant inventories and partners closely with operations to avoid production delays.  Maintain inventory accuracy
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the factories
  • Work on special projects as assigned

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as supply chain, etc. is preferred.
  • May consider applicants without a degree if experience demonstrates progressive growth in complexity and accountability.

 

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.  The employee will occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.  

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 6 years of experience as a materials professional in industrial manufacturing.
  • Previous supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience must include working with an MRP system, JDE, strongly preferred.
  • CPIM certification, a plus.
