Job Title: Warehouse Lead
Location: Social Circle, GA
About the role:
The position is responsible for the coordination of receiving, segregation, sorting, and storage of human blood plasma in preparation of plasma production runs in the Teardown department. Lead Operator will perform advanced troubleshooting tasks for the Automated Plasma Dispositioning System (APDS) Manual Sorting Line. Under the direction of Management, Lead Operator is responsible for executing all processes in production, while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and other related regulations that could apply. Lead Operator is expected to fully participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams when applicable, as well as lead assigned projects. Assigned training records must be kept up to date. Due to business need, employees may be required to work overtime and/or support operations on an alternate shift.
How you will contribute:
Support all local manufacturing activities in Plasma Operations. Clean production area per cGMP
Participate on Continuous Improvement teams
Perform plasma loading, carton opening, carton disposal, and MES functions to support APDS sorting line operations based on Teardown plasma schedule
Perform disposition reconciliation
Perform cycle counts, bin diving, inventory count, and pallet spot check
Segregate plasma units to be processed with an “On Hold” or “Quarantine” status
Follow basic safety rules, SOPs, cGMP, work rules and company policies
Complete and/or verify documentation following GDP
Operate PIT equipment, including forklift and pallet jack
Perform truck receiving transactions in APDS
Perform mandatory stretching at start of shift according to the department stretching program
Deliver Plasma to manufacturing area prior to scheduled
Schedule sorted plasma bins into Teardown lot and complete Teardown Release Plan
Generate missing unit report in APDS
Manage floor activities, such as scheduling and training
Locate and send back requested units to donor center, and perform transaction in APDS/JDE
Assist Department Specialist with Plasma Dispositioning, Teardown, and Delivery scheduling and coordination
Coordinate daily tasks to complete planned schedules. Provide coaching and hands-on personnel development
Ensure operator training compliance and coordinate training completion to ensure competency
Coordinate breaks and ensure completion on time. Provide coaching when necessary
May perform removal of hazardous waste, if applicable
What you bring to Takeda:
High school diploma or GED plus 6+ years of related experience, or AA or higher with 4+ years of experience required.
Must be proficient in written and oral English
Must have good written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations
Good procedural writing skills
Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions
Must be able to apply quantitative analysis to analyze process performance
Must be proficient in a variety of mathematical disciplines and be able to work with both the metric and USA standards of measurement
Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
