Warehouse & Inventory Control Supervisor

The Warehouse & Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, owning inventory accuracy and inventory control processes, and ensuring efficient storage, distribution, and logistics activities. This role ensures that materials and products are received, stored, documented, and shipped in a timely, compliant, and cost-effective manner while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, organization, and regulatory compliance.

DESCRIPTION

How you will make an impact:

You will lead warehouse operations and inventory management to ensure efficient, safe, compliant, and cost-effective logistics processes while driving inventory accuracy, strengthening inventory controls, supporting audit readiness, and continuously improving warehouse operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.

What you will do:

  • Oversee day to day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and material movement.
  • Own inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations and storage areas.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures that promote inventory integrity and consistent transaction documentation using approved site systems and processes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through a structured cycle count program, physical inventory activities, routine audits, and variance investigations.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and monitor recurring trends to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Support inventory process improvements, system enhancements, and future ERP and warehouse system initiatives.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, storage capacity, and workflows to improve efficiency, safety, and productivity.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate warehouse/shipping personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), health, safety, environmental, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain material identification, traceability, segregation, quarantine, released, rejected, and expired inventory controls in accordance with Quality requirements and approved procedures.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure material availability and inventory alignment.
  • Analyze inventory performance and operational data to develop reports and dashboards on inventory accuracy, cycle count performance, inventory aging, warehouse productivity, and other key operational metrics.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Develop, maintain, and periodically review warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure employees are appropriately trained.
  • Support internal audits, external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections by maintaining audit ready warehouse documentation and practices.
  • Partner with Finance to support inventory reconciliations, annual physical inventories, and inventory related investigations while maintaining appropriate segregation of duties and approval requirements.
  • Support identification and disposition of excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory in partnership with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and Finance.
  • Maintain warehouse operations in accordance with established internal controls, approval authorities, and segregation of duties requirements. Escalate control gaps and partner with cross functional teams to strengthen inventory governance.
