Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Plattsburgh, NY that combines more than 150 years of experience in designing and manufacturing school and Commercial Buses. A Warehouse Handler is responsible for performing various tasks related to the receipt, storage, and movement of goods within our warehouse. The role involves loading and unloading goods, organizing stock, and ensuring inventory is accurately maintained and easily accessible.
Essential Functions:
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near the facility or work site.
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular stock checks, cycle counts, and ensuring proper labeling and organization of materials
- Opens containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
- Assembles crates to contain products, using hand tools and precut lumber. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Loads and unloads trucks with forklift/pallet jack.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations to optimize space and accessibility.
- Pick and prepare materials for production, assembly, or shipping.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Lifts heavy objects by hand, and maintains cleanliness of work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.

- Good problem-solving and communication skills.

- Able to work in a team-based environment.
- Able to work overtime and multiple shifts as needed.
