Summary

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for pulling, checking, and packing orders as assigned. This includes accountability for his or her work and should include the following:

 

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and preparation of orders for daily shipments
• Receiving and sorting buy-out materials
• Goods receipts/issuing of buyouts and inventory materials within the ERP system
• Loading and unloading freight and materials as instructed
• Safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Assist with inventory receiving and shelf restocking
• Assist with physical inventory counts
• Follow and support all Precision Drilling policies and procedures
• General warehouse maintenance such as cleaning and organization
• Periodic pick-up and delivery of materials and products
• Assisting in identifying workplace hazards
• Maintaining a clean driving record
• Working overtime hours when required, including on-call rotation
• Various other duties as required

 

Knowledge & Skills

Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization

Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently

Ability to work with little or no supervision

 

Education

1-3 years of progressive experience in a similar role

 

Experience

Strong material handling skills including fork-lift operation

Prior warehousing experiences an asset
