About the role

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience as a fabrication operator in a semiconductor or microelectronics manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES), dispatch systems, and reporting equipment malfunctions or process deviations.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours including holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a fabrication operator in a semiconductor or microelectronics manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with working extended periods of time in the cleanroom environment.
  • Experience with the following semiconductor processes: photolithography, etch, thin films, epitaxy, or metrology.
  • Ability to enable reporting and collaborate within the team, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to execute operational procedures and monitor critical process parameters, with attention to detail.

As a Semiconductor Fabrication Technician, you will be instrumental in cleanroom operations, executing all wafer fabrication process steps, including photolithography, etch, thin films, epitaxy, and metrology during 12-hour night shifts. Your adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards is paramount. You will ensure seamless production flow through precise data recording, efficient dispatching, and expert wafer handling skills. Your attention to work-in-progress (WIP) and equipment status, coupled with excellent communication, will be crucial in achieving our production goals and maintaining optimal factory floor operations.Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $82,500-$115,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all cleanroom protocols and procedures, ensuring the integrity of the fabrication process and preventing contamination, while upholding all safety procedures and guidelines, reporting any safety concerns or incidents.
  • Operate, set up, load, and monitor wafer fabrication equipment such as photolithography, etching, and deposition tools, ensuring accurate parameters are selected for each run, inspecting wafers post-processing, document any abnormalities and perform accurate transactions in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Document material transaction in the MES, critical process data, and log appropriate equipment states in the MES, conduct qualifications and support engineering experiments.
  • Execute all work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while contributing to the identification of process improvements and best practice documentation.
  • Report production status, equipment issues, and potential challenges to shift leads/supervisors and engineering teams, ensuring smooth production flow.
