VP - Information TechnologyWhat does a successful VP - Information Technology do at Fiserv?
As a VP - Information Technology on the Output Solutions team, you will lead our IT team to drive innovation and ensure the seamless operation of technology systems that support our business goals. You will be heavily involved with the modernization of Output Solutions applications and will have oversight of key technological areas including application development, data technology, and quality engineering. You will also be influential over other functions such as engineering and architecture, benefiting from your technology vision and roadmap.
What you will do:
- Lead, develop, and execute a technology vision and roadmap to harmonize various platforms and solutions while collaborating with key stakeholders
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure within Output Solutions
- Ensure that technology will support business demands and develop future application platforms effectively and efficiently
- Champion standardization of software engineering processes
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spending and initiatives
- Act as a role model and mentor on application development practices and technology modernization
- Drive the development of long-term strategic plans in collaboration with key stakeholders, and anticipate and identify issues, providing recommendations to address roadblocks and areas of opportunity
What you will need to have:
- 12+ years of technical experience and knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and software development
- 10+ years of experience overseeing IT projects from inception to completion
- 10+ years of experience with IT policy development and implementation
- 6+ years of experience in IT management and leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Prior experience within the financial services, fintech, or banking industries
- Strong business background at an enterprise level and/or development experience with large, complex business applications across all phases of application development
- Prior experience leading IT modernization projects
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or CISSP
- Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
