SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Reserve Volleyball Head Coach is responsible for developing a comprehensive plan to teach, develop, supervise, communicate, and implement a comprehensive athletic plan for their team. The Sub-Varsity Head Coach serves as a liaison between coaches, students, families, school administration, and the Director of Athletics to ensure a positive, educational, and well-organized team and individual experience for all participants to develop as athletes, students and mentors in the community.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience working with high school or middle school students in an educational and athletic environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of interscholastic athletics, the NHIAA and high/middle school athletic programs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, coaches, and staff.
- Experience and knowledge of the rules, fundamentals, strategies and/or coaching the sport/activity.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma or GED required and a background in the sport applying for.
CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates will be required to complete certifications in:
- CPR and First Aid
- Heat Illness
- Concussion Assessment
- Fundamentals of Coaching
- May attend a yearly Rules Assessment
- Other certifications as required by the NHIAA or the school district.
SCHEDULE:
Fall season, 2026-2027 school year
DURATION: August 17, 2026 - November 6, 2026
STIPEND: $2,000.00 for the season
