Description

The Department of Classics at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor. The Visiting Assistant Professor will teach a combination of Greek and Latin language (beginning, intermediate and/or advanced) and Classics courses in translation. The course load is 3-3; a Ph.D. is required by July 1st 2026. Salary and benefits are competitive. The position is for fall 2026 and spring 2027.

Qualifications

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. or equivalent by July 1st.

Applicants should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses in Greek and Latin language and in Classics in translation.
