Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Video Editor to join our team! The Senior Video Editor will oversee the entire video editing process, collaborating with the creative team to produce high-quality content that aligns with the Royal Commission’s (RC) brand and marketing goals. This role involves managing multiple projects, applying advanced editing techniques, and ensuring timely delivery. Additionally, the Senior Video Editor will maintain organized archives and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. The role also includes troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing videos for various platforms, and staying updated with industry trends to continuously enhance content quality.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with the creative team to develop video content that aligns with brand and marketing goals.

• Edit raw footage into polished videos for various platforms, including social media and websites.

• Apply advanced editing techniques like color correction, sound design, and visual effects.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.

• Provide creative input during pre-production and production phases.

• Stay updated with industry trends to continuously improve video content.

• Mentor junior video editors, providing feedback and support.

• Conduct thorough reviews of edited videos to ensure they meet technical and creative standards.

• Optimize videos for various platforms, ensuring correct formatting.

• Maintain an organized archive of video footage and project files.

• Coordinate with the marketing team to align video content with promotional campaigns.

• Develop and maintain a consistent visual style and tone across all video content.

• Troubleshoot technical issues related to video editing software and hardware.

• Source and integrate stock footage, music, and sound effects as needed.

• Ensure all video content complies with copyright laws and RC policies.

• Create and edit video content for internal training and communication purposes.

• Collaborate with graphic designers to incorporate graphics and animations into videos.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas for video content.

• Provide post-production support, including exporting and compressing videos for various platforms.

• Monitor video performance metrics and use data to inform future projects.

• Assist in developing video content strategies and plans.

• Ensure all video projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline, or a Diploma in a relevant field such as Film, Video Production, or Multimedia.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in video editing and production.

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.

• Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality video editing work.

• Excellent understanding of advanced editing techniques, including color correction, sound design, and visual effects.

• Post-Production visionary that can enhance stories by creatively manipulating captured content, creating motion graphics and music selection to tell an original and compelling story.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong creative, artistic and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.

• Experience collaborating with creative teams and providing input during pre-production and production phases.

• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in video content creation.

• Strong organizational skills to maintain an archive of video footage and project files.
