About the role
As a Vice President of Business Development, you will lead and execute Aledade’s strategic partnerships with national and regional health plans as we help primary care providers shift into value-based care. This role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer. We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely with considerable amounts of travel.

What you will be owning:
- Lead, negotiate and execute new strategic payer partnerships
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders
- Qualify and source market growth and expansion for multi-year risk arrangements
- Be responsible for achieving the company's goals on health plan contracting for Commercial, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid value-based contracts
- Help shape the company's strategy for value-based contracting on behalf of independent primary care practices
- Manage the business development team including setting performance goals, career development, annual performance reviews, etc.
- Identify opportunities for evolving Aledade products to better meet health plan needs
- Drive and maintain strategic relationships with existing health plan partners
- Lead the evaluation of prospective payer partnerships
- Contribute to overall Aledade strategy and operations as a senior executive.
About You:
- 8+ years in healthcare with health plans within value-based care
- Expert sales, business development, growth professional at local and national level
- Master’s degree or other advanced degrees in management, health services research, health and/or public policy, or other relevant fields is preferred
- Passionate about driving the shift from fee-for-service to value based care
- Results-oriented with the ability to access financial and operational outcomes of contracts
- Proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing customer relationships and communicating effectively with senior management
- Ability to think beyond their immediate team and contribute to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in DE&I efforts, culture initiatives, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)
