What You’ll Do

  • Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, and cytology
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during procedures and maintain accurate records
  • Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to help keep patients safe and comfortable
  • Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, and wound care
  • Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence regarding patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and thoroughly document patient care and treatments
  • Keep treatment and exam areas clean, stocked, and organized while following infection-control protocols
  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain an efficient workflow and positive hospital culture
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional growth opportunities within the practice
