Position Summary
Keep all Mt. Bachelor Vehicles and equipment in good, safe, working order. Repairing, fabricating, or replacing defective or broken parts. Working in warm and cold environments in and out of the shop with minimal supervision.
Major Responsibilities/ Daily Essential Functions
Diagnose, repair, and inspect all Mt. Bachelor vehicles/equipment (including but not limited to Snow Cats, Blowers, Plows, Snowmobiles, four-wheelers, Chainsaws, and other misc. small equipment).
Performing scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing to ensure safe operations.
Following all manufacturers' prescribed testing or maintenance procedures.
Performing testing and periodic inspections on vehicles/equipment.
Reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical system schematics.
Completing all required maintenance logs, work orders, and records as needed.
Using proper PPE (personal protective equipment).
Following proper procedures and policies.
Keeping the work area neat and clean.
Keeping tools and equipment clean and operational.
Following all manufacturers' safety policies and procedures.
Secondary Function
Welding and fabrication of parts.
Building hydraulic Hoses.
Attending company and departmental safety training meetings.
Repair electrical wiring as needed.
Recover disabled vehicles/equipment as necessary.
Help with Snow Removal in the Parking lots and around buildings using plow equipment and snow cats.
Will help with Air Link when necessary and any other Emergency needs.
Interpersonal Contacts
Interaction with all employees who operate Mt. Bachelor Vehicles. Helping anybody who walks in the door and doing it with a smile.
Conducting yourself in a friendly and courteous manner at all times.
Providing timely service to guests and other staff.
Assisting guests with minor vehicle problems, other assistance, or providing information to guests.
Specific Job Skills/Certifications
License/Certifications: Current and valid Driver’s license. Automotive certifications are a plus.
Technical: Strong understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and engine mechanics.
Physical Capabilities: Be able to use hands in tight and awkward positions, & heavy lifting.
Additional: The ability to weld (MIG-TIG) is a plus
Education/Related Experience
Minimum education required: High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of a Technical program is preferred.
Minimum time in a related position: At least 1 year in a mechanic shop.
