Salary: $50-$55 per hour

• Position is 1st Shift (flexible hours) with on-call capability for 2nd Shift or weekend emergencies.

Job Purpose:

• The VAS Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of packaging equipment and automated systems within the Value-Added Services (VAS) operation.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on packaging equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on VAS equipment.
• Maintain equipment such as labeling machines, shrink wrappers, conveyors, and tapers.
• Respond to breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential failures.
• Document maintenance and repair work.
• Support equipment installation and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Other tasks as assigned.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

• Strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
• Uphold safety and operational standards while working on the floor

 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with packaging equipment is strongly preferred.

 

Education and/or Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.

 

Language Skills Sets: 

• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
