Position Summary

 

Our manufacturing facility in Miami, Oklahoma, stands as a testament to the pet care industry's excellence. Nestled along the Historic Route 66 in northeast Oklahoma, near the borders of Kansas and Missouri, this facility has been producing a wide array of pet treat products and brands since its inception in 1997. Within the production environment at our Nestle Purina Miami, OK facility, you will work as an Operator Utility to support production. Since safety is a top priority at Purina, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring that our equipment and machinery remain in top-notch condition. Your ability to acclimate and problem solve quickly will be critically important as unforeseen equipment issues may arise throughout the normal operation day. The shift available is 7:00PM-7:30AM on a 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on). Must be open and available to work nights and/or weekends depending on position specified.

 

• Safely operate the extruders, dryers, mixer, receiving and coating application system and other related equipment. 
• Perform quality checks and meet product specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean workplace.
• Perform sanitation duties and material handling.
• Safely and efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and make minor repairs on operating equipment using lock out procedures, as prescribed.
• Utilize computer technology and basic math skills to effectively perform job requirements.
• Occasionally will work at high heights within plant to fulfill job responsibilities.
• Work in facility environment that is not climate controlled.
• All other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military or related environment
   

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $20.85. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
